When running The Bear, is it run as one continuous 8.1 mile race, or do runners all start the 5K together at 8:30 AM then have a break before starting the 5mile at 9:15 AM?

Both races will have distinct start times; 5K at 8:30 AM and 5M at 9:15 AM. Therefore, if you finish the 5K in less than 45 minutes, you will have a break before the start of the 5M.
